When a Young Person Refuses to Give Up

For some young people, opportunity does not arrive with an invitation.

They have to search for it.

They learn from free videos online. They borrow laptops. They attend community workshops. They teach themselves skills after work or school because they believe there must be something beyond their current circumstances.

What inspires me most is not simply their ambition. It is their willingness to keep trying after rejection.

A failed application does not necessarily mean the dream is over. Sometimes it simply means the person has to find another door.

We often celebrate success without talking about the persistence that came before it. But behind every achievement is usually a period when giving up seemed much easier.

Young people do not need to be told that their future is important. They need opportunities that allow them to prove it.
