What Kindness Looks Like

Kindness does not always look dramatic.

Sometimes it is a woman buying food for an elderly neighbour.

Sometimes it is a stranger paying someone's transport fare when they realize the person has no money.

Sometimes it is simply sitting beside someone who is having a difficult day.

These moments rarely make the news because they are not extraordinary events. They are ordinary people making small choices to make another person's life slightly easier.

But perhaps that is what makes them powerful.

We often wait for big opportunities to make a difference while overlooking the small ones directly in front of us.

A kind word may take seconds. Helping someone may cost very little. But we may never know how much that moment means to the person receiving it.
