The Neighbourhood Is a Civic Space

Civic life does not only happen in parliament buildings or government offices.

It happens on our streets.

It happens when neighbours come together to clean a shared space. When residents ask for better roads. When young people organize a community project. When people report problems instead of simply complaining about them.

These actions may seem small, but they teach an important lesson: communities do not improve by waiting for someone else to care.
Citizens have a role to play.

Being involved in your community does not require a title. Sometimes it begins with noticing a problem and asking, “What can we do about this?”
That question can be the beginning of change.
